Journey across Morocco from Marrakech to Fes, traversing through diverse landscapes including the majestic Tiz’n Tichka pass, the expansive dunes of Erg Chegaga, and the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge. Experience the culture of Berber villages, partake in camel trekking and enjoy nights under the stars in desert camps.

Day 1: Marrakech to Foum Zguid
After breakfast at 8:30 AM, and with 4×4 we travel over the stunning Tiz’n Tichka (2,260) with spectacular scenery, Berber villages and ever-changing landscape along the way. We continue on a small road via the old Glaoui Kasbah Telouet, and you will pass close to small Berber villages on the way to Ait Ben Haddou. Here you visit the magnificent 12th century Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will be followed by a local guide.
We continue to Ouarzazate before going southeast via the carpet village Tazenachte known for their woven carpets. And the day will end at the edge of the desert and you will be lodged in a hotel in Foum Zguid. Here you also have the possibility for a swim in the pool.
Day 2: Foum Zguid til Erg Chegaga
After breakfast we go offroad into the desert – passing Hammada (stone desert), oasis, and the dry lake Iriqi.
We continue further into the desert and arrive at Erg Chegaga, the high dunes. Chegaga is the largest group of dunes in the region reaching a height of 300 m. Camel trekking, sandboarding and sunset trip before dinner – local song and music and sleep in nomad tents in a bivouac.
Day 3: Erg Chagaga to Todra Gorge
In the morning we continue through the desert and arrive at the nomad village M’hamid. After a small rest, we continue north and on the way, we visit the old traditional pottery in Tamegrout before arriving in Zagora. Now the journey goes to the Draa Valley lined with palms and Berber villages before crossing the Saghro Mountains on the way to Todra. We arrive at these fantastic areas of cliffs in the late afternoon, and it is time for dinner.
Day 4: Todra Gorge to Midelt
After breakfast, it is possible to take a walk along the river surrounded by cliffs and green areas until you arrive at the end of the gorges. The car meets you here, and we continue through an area with fossils, small villages and oasis. We take a break for lunch in Rissani, and for visiting an old palace and kasbah before heading north along the Atlas Mountains. We arrive in Midelt where there will be dinner.
Day 5: Merzouga to Fes
After sunrise, you continue the camel trekking for 1h to a nearby auberge for shower and breakfast. Then continue north with 4×4 crossing the Middle Atlas, passing green valleys and scenic mountains. In the small Berber village of Zaida we take a break and lunch. The trip continues, and we arrive at the cedar forests of Azrou. Here the wild monkeys are located and we take a short stop for seeing the wilderness in Morocco. We arrive in Fes in late afternoon.
